Someone is finally feeling MUCH better!!
.... Most of the time.
Either way, she had a little visit from a therapy dog...
.... Watched a few hundred episodes of "Full House," (which made me feel VERY old)...
... Took a walk with "Frisbee Boy's Mom"
Tried to play a game of "Pie Face," (Hello, kitchen? Yes I'd like to order the pudding with the whipped cream, except no pudding please.")
... Did a few crafts...
.... Went for a ride around the hospital...
And then I took her home!!!!
She is home on what I'll call a "conditional basis," meaning that she has a few goals she has to meet within the next few days, otherwise she has to go back into the hospital for an automatic 7-10 day stay. I'm hoping that just being back in the house with her family and her own bed will help with the healing process, and I've wiped my calendar clean for the next week so that I can focus on her recovery.
Love her so much, and we are all so, so, so happy that she is home.
Oh, and just because it's me, guess what happened when The Guy took The Girl Child's prescription to the pharmacy?
He put it in the little drive-thru box, it went up into the ceiling so that it could go into the pharmacy... but it never came down.
Walgreen's ceiling ate her prescription.
And no one could get it out.
Since it was for a controlled substance, the doctor could not just send in a new one. The Guy had to drive all the way to her doctor's office, swear up and down that he hadn't sold the drugs on the street, have the pharmacy confirm his ludicrous story, and give him a new prescription.
Because why wouldn't the Walgreens ceiling eat it?
What the heck.
Oh.My.Gosh. Only you. Glad to hear your little girl is home. Sending healing prayers and peace to you all!
ReplyDeleteRight!?
DeleteDamn ceiling!
Clearly the ceiling was starving and in desperate need of something to nom on. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am so glad she's home. Fingers crossed she gets better soon and doesn't have to return to the hospital! <3
Thank you love :) She definitely seems to be feeling better!
DeleteSo great that everything is conditionally going better !!!!!! Maybe the Walgreens ceiling sold the drugs on the street? Or you could have a Walgreens ceiling with a serious prescription drug habit...
ReplyDeleteI guess we will never know... !!
DeleteSo very glad she is home. Damn those ceiling monsters.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the ceiling was trying to get "high"!
ReplyDeleteSorry. I'll see myself out.

DeleteShe's beautiful, good on her for engaging in all the hospital activities rather than moping in bed (I would if I were stuck in the hospital!) hoping she stays home and feels better soon, poor baby
ReplyDeleteHospitals these days are so great with kids!
DeleteThank you !!!
*hugs*
If she can't metabolize pain medication, what is the controlled substance script for if not for pain meds?
ReplyDeleteI said the exact same thing to my husband. I think it's standard protocol for them to discharge you with something, and as a parent I felt bad not at least trying. It's kind of a helpless situation to be in :( I did give her two doses at home, I'm not sure they helped physically but at least for both her and I we felt like we were doing something.
